Western LA County Council High Adventure Team

Well, I got involved in scouting a few years ago with ny son Wade.  I've always had a thing for the outdoors, being an adventureous person that I am. I love white water rafting and have been on several trips out west. The best one so far was the Grand Canyon 18 day trip that was actually the thrill of my life.  I want Wade to see and feel the awesome effect that is out there and to learn about respect for not only the outdoors, but for other people as well. I can tell you that Wade loves it and seeing him as well as other boys enjoying themselves makes me get out there in the garage on that treadmill and keep somewhat in halfway decent shape so I can experience these things with him.  Then came this HAT team thing,and I wondered if I could help out with this. I was amazed at all the great people and their additudes towards scouting. Their talents are, can I say off the charts with knowledge and experience. They have made me feel welcome as a new member of the team and their humor is just about where I'm at myself. I could go on but I'll fill up the whole web site with silly stuff.
