Desert Awareness Course

Description
Hot weather and desert camping is the focus of this awareness course. Participants will be made aware of the techniques of leading outings in hot weather and desert environments. Acquiring water, caching and proper planning are among the topics included in this course.
 
Length
One single day session in a desert environment, followed by an evening Astronomy Awareness course. Optional overnight camping with HAT staff.
 
Prerequisites
Currently registered Scout or Scouter that has completed the Basic Backpacking course.
 
Cost
Desert and Astronomy $35, Astronomy $15.

Schedule
May 14, 15, 2016, 7.30AM, optional overnight. Astronomy approx. 7.30PM - 9.30PM.
